Himself and i are engaged! he popped the question last night and gave me flowers and “d” ring.

where? at the kl tower. he came to my house to pick me up after work, and while he was driving to the destination, he asked, “where you want to go? the best or second best?”. so, i told him, “of course the best ler, duh!”. and we were weaving around kl town and i thought for a second that he was going to bring me to a hotel because he told me we will be having buffet dinner. so, when he made the turn to kl tower, i was surprised!

he actually asked me to dinner last night because it was our 4th year anniversary of meeting each other since 11th may 2001. i didn’t remember the date until prompted by him and thank goodness i made the right wild guess. phew!

when we reached the restaurant, Himself told me that he forgot his wallet. so, he went back to the car to it. then, we had dinner…. we sat until about 10 plus and by that time, i was feeling tired because i wasn’t feeling well. still having the flu today. anyway, then he went to dedicate a song to me… and he came back with a dozen of roses! and he asked me whether i wanted more surprises, i said, “of course!”. that was when he popped the question and presented me with the ring which we chose together. we actually went to buy the ring together but had to get it resized. he must’ve gone to pick it up himself.

after the proposal, he asked me, “do you want the good news first or bad news?”. i answered, “bad news first”. and he told me, “1st January 2006 is already booked at Cyberview Lodge”. i was a little disappointed and he didn’t want to tell me the good news thereafter.

when we went to the car, he gave me an envelope. i just took a look at it and put it aside. he said, “open it and read carefully!”. when i read the piece of paper in the envelope, i saw a receipt for a downpayment for the booking of Cyberview Lodge on 1st January 2006! he booked it like a week ago and kept it as a surprise. so, the 1st January 2006 at Cyberview Lodge was booked by him. yippee!

Himself was being a little “funny” yesterday evening. you see, usually, when he goes back to his parents’ house for dinner, he will stay put there and later, head home to his apartment. but, yesterday around 6:05 pm, he called me to let me know that he’s back at his parents’ house and will come over to see me later. so, i went home, had dinner (which consists of 2 fishes and a spoonful of vege) and watched tv. while watching tv at about 7:45 pm, Himself texted me and asked me whether i would like to go to the shopping mall for a walk. i replied and said, “OK”.

we went to the shopping mall and he took me to the jewellery shop. and i was looking at some rings made up of bits of diamonds. got what i mean? and Himself said to me, “why are you looking at those?” … “come over and look at these”. i was like wondering, “huh?” so, i went over to where Himself was…. apparently, Himself was at the shop in the afternoon and actually chose the ring already. Himself brought me there to “confirm” on the ring which i love and the ring size.

the ring is being resized now and Himself will collect it whenever; and i’ll only get to wear it when he proposes…. so, the ring shopping was his surprise for yesterday. i wonder what else he has in store. *wink*
