every time i view our website: www.garynchristine.com, it transfers me into reality… that there’s only another 32 days to go to our wedding. sometimes, i wish i could turn back the clock and go back to the day Himself proposed i.e. wednesday, 11th may 2005. then, i could start planning and preparing again. but, looking back, whatever we’ve planned for our wedding has been perfect in our eyes. some of what we did especially the theme or designs of our wedding may not seem beautiful to others. but, it’s alright because art is subjective.
and today during lunch, my colleague, jason and i went to the stationery shop and i bought some stationeries for the wedding guest book and also to make another invitation for our post-wedding dinner.

mr. postman has been gone for 3 days now… yeah, he left at 9:15 am last friday. and he left without sending many of the invitations out. sigh…. so, i was really relieved and glad when i saw so many friends at johnny and sandy’s house yesterday. i’ve passed the invitations to: avvy, billy, johnny, ronnie, freeman and david. and for my own friends, i’ve given them out to: jacey, sheryl, angeline and lee sah. phew!
we still have many more to go. but at least, there’s progress….
and thank you to janie for the bottle of wine. we’ll taste it once mr. postman returns from foreign land.
after work, i met up with jacey and sheryl… my two girl buddies who were my room mates at different points of time. you see, there were a few of us malaysians in chicago then. we kind of rotate apartment / room mates throughout our 3 years stay there.
and i’m glad they’re around to make it for my wedding. the person missing is our friend, nicole.
but, i understand…. we’ve sort of made up for it when we met in october when nicole came back for a short visit.
during dinner at monte’s restaurant, sunway pyramid, we talked about our chicago days once again. i think it happens everytime we meet. we were missing our starbucks outings (starbucks was about 20 wonderful minutes’ walk from our apartment), pompei (little italy on taylor street), zorba’s gyros at greek town, giordano’s which is famous of its stuff pizza and last but not least, michigan avenue which is also known as the magnificent mile.

i hope that Himself and i will be able to go back to chicago so that i could share with him all these fond memories and show him all the beautiful places that made living so wonderful for me when i was studying there.
a friend of mine, let’s call him mr. nice and i chatted via msn. during our conversation, this very good friend of mine thanked me for the beautiful card. by him saying that, it made all the effort i’ve gone through for the invitation cards worth it.
i’ve known mr. nice for about 7 years and he has been my support system for most of it. he has been my champion for all the times that i needed a friend to push me onwards. thank you, mr. nice. you know who you are!
